Capa is an on/off-ramp platform that allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies using fiat currencies like the Mexican or Dominican peso.
When you buy cryptocurrencies on Capa using fiat currency, you are performing an On-ramp. To buy cryptocurrencies, select the “Buy” option, choose the blockchain and the desired cryptocurrency, then enter the amount in pesos you wish to convert. Click “Continue” and follow the indicated steps to complete the transaction.
When you sell your cryptocurrencies on Capa and receive fiat currency in your bank account, you are performing an Off-ramp. To sell cryptocurrencies, select the “Sell” option, choose the blockchain and the cryptocurrency, enter the amount to convert to pesos, and click “Continue”. Follow the provided instructions to finalize the transaction.
To create an account on Capa, you need access to an email and a valid identification document in Mexico or the Dominican Republic to complete the KYC process.
To access your account, select the “Log in” option and enter your email address. We will send you an access code to your email, which you must enter to complete the login.
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a verification process that helps us comply with legal regulations. It involves sending personal information and documents to confirm your identity. Completing the KYC process is necessary to access all the features of our platform. Capa uses a third party for the KYC service, called MetaMap.

The duration of bank transfers varies depending on the system in each country. In the Dominican Republic, ACH transfers can take up to 24 hours, extending to 48 hours if made over the weekend. In Mexico, transfers are almost instantaneous, taking less than 5 minutes, thanks to the Interbank Electronic Payment System (SPEI). Bank Transfer Processing Times in the Dominican Republic: ACH transfers are processed Monday to Friday between 8:01 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and are credited after 2:30 p.m. the same day. Transfers made between 1:01 p.m. and 7:59 a.m. will be credited after 9:30 a.m. the next business day.
