Role: Senior Backend Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core financial infrastructure that powers Capa’s platform. You’ll work on scalable APIs, data pipelines, and integrations that handle high-volume cross-border transactions with speed and security.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and implement scalable backend services handling payments, treasury, and embedded finance.

• Build APIs and integrations with banks, payment rails, and third-party providers.

• Collaborate closely with frontend, product, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Optimize for reliability, security, and performance at scale.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.

• Stay updated on fintech trends and recommend new technologies and tools.

Who You Are

• Experienced backend engineer with 5+ years building scalable, secure APIs and services.

• Proficient in languages like Go, Python, or Node.js and strong with SQL and data modeling.

• Familiar with payment systems, banking APIs, or financial services integrations (preferred).

• Skilled in designing distributed systems with a focus on reliability and fault tolerance.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, balancing speed and quality.

• Passionate about fintech innovation and cross-border financial technology.

Bonus Points

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, GDPR).
